In Between

Sending love to wherever you’re reading
is it so greedy of me to want to live between the worlds of the living and the dead? is it so wrong of me to dance among the beloved then to drink among the flesh of their families? like a speck that follows the direction of the wind is it so shameful of me to travel between the decay of once cradled bodies and those whose feet still feel the earth beneath them? is it so blasphemous of me to call on one God when the other can no longer serve me to beg for the mercy of any who would listen to the pain? like an archivist of the lost churches is it so greedy of me to live eternally and yet to die continuously? how can i choose between living and dying when they are both so tempting to fall in?
Happy National Poetry Month!
